The Ellettsville Masonic Lodge is located conveniently in the downtown area of Ellettsville, and home to the Ellettsville Masons of #245. They are opening up their space to share in the community for hosting your next event, meeting or small party.

What to expect next? Once form is filled out, you will be contacted by Haley (Rental Manager), to set up a possible viewing of the space if you would like. A BEO (Banquet Event Order) will be filled out, outlining the specifics of your event rental. Once signed a 50% deposit is required with in 2 weeks to confirm and hold your space.

What can I use the space for?
The lodge dining hall is the perfect size for Business meeting, Networking events, Employee Training, Small Rehearsal Dinners, Company Luncheons, Engagement Dinners, Anniversaries...just to name a few!
How much does it cost to rent the space?
Pricing varies depending on the size of the event, number of guests, and time frame needed.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, we do ask that you pay 50% of your rental fee with in 2 weeks of going into agreement in order to hold your spot on the calendar.
Who is the Rental Manager and what is their role?
Haley is currently acting at the rental manager at this time, she will set up and be the liaison between rental guests and the lodge, representing the space and facilizing rental contract. She does not act as your event planner but will oversee venue operations. Please note that it is your responsibility to set-up and tear down your event.
Can we bring outside food and drink to the lodge?
Yes, outside food and drink are welcome. Currently there isn't catering options through the lodge, and the kitchen appliances are not a part of the rental space. You are welcome to use the counter in the kitchen to set food on to prep for set up, and the hot serving bar is accessible. Please let the rental manager know that you intend to use the serving bar so they can show how to turn on and proper use.
Can we serve alcohol?
Wine only is permitted, and the following are required:

Event insurance with a minimum of $100,000 in liability (Talk with the rental manager, on what event insurance covers, and how to get it if you are unsure)

Renters must sign in the BEO (Banquet order form) that they are responsible for ensuring that guests are following all bylaws regarding alcohol consumption and the lodge holds zero liability.
Where should we park, and which entrance should we use?
There is minimal street parking at the front entrance, we suggest the lot across from the lodge to be used for parking. There is a side entrance that can be used for loading/unloading.

Terms and Agreements
Ellettsville Masonic Lodge wants to thank you for your consideration in using their Dining Hall for your next event. This is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1857 and in this building since 1895. All fees collected are used to ensure the upkeep of the building and used to fund charitable events throughout Monroe County. For that we ask that you look over the Terms and Agreements outlined here prior to signing the rental agreement.

Opening/lock up: Rental manager or lodge member will meet with you at contracted time, they will only wait up to 20 minutes for your arrival, if you feel you are running late you must call to inform of your expected time. At lock up/end of event, the rental manager or a lodge member will meet with you for a quick walk through to ensure all areas are cleaned back up and lock the doors for you. You must wait until someone arrives to lock up, they will be there with in 15 mins of your event end time. Leaving premises while unlocked will result in a $100 fine and possible insurance claim if lodge is found damaged in that time.

Closed to public areas: During your tour or key pick up, you will be shown the closed to public areas. This is a firm do not enter.

Kitchen appliances are not included. You are welcome to set things in the kitchen for set up but due to health/safety concerns we ask that you do not use the oven, or refrigerator. All outside food must be cooked off premises but can use the hot bar to keep warm for serving.

Bring your own utensils, plates, cups etc. you are welcome to quick clean in the kitchen sink for transport back with you.

Responsible for your own set up and clean up. Trash that is bagged up and closed off can be left until lock up for Rental Manager/lodge member to assist getting to a dumpster or we ask that you take with you to dump.

If you bring it in, take it with you: The lodge is not responsible for left or lost items.

Deposit is non-negotiable; at the time of rental agreement, you will see a deposit due by date, this is 2 weeks from the date that the rental agreement is sent and required if rental agreement is signed. This is non-negotiable on amount; it will be 50% of the total rental and is refundable up to 30 days prior to your event. If you cancel within 30 days of your event the deposit will be held.
